In additional to our comprehensive and intensive therapy program, the Wellington-Alexander Center offers traditional speech-language therapy for children of all ages, from toddlers to high school students. Our speech-language therapist and Director of Speech-Language Services, Stacy Fretheim, will evaluate your child to assess his or her strengths and weaknesses then develop a tailored one-on-one program that best addresses your child's specific needs.
It Takes Two to TalkĀ®
The Wellington-Alexander Center also offers It Takes Two to TalkĀ®, a family-focused early language intervention model for young children with expressive and/or receptive language delays. The goal of this program is to enable parents to become their child's primary language facilitator, thereby maximizing the child's opportunities for communication development in everyday situations. Parents will learn basic concepts about communication as well as language facilitation strategies specific to supporting their child's communication goals, which are developed by our speech-language therapist collaboratively with the parents and modified as needed over the course of the program.
